Flood prevention encompasses all technical measurements (flood risk evaluation, infrastructures, communication, alert systems, emergency communal plans, crisis and post-crisis organization, insurance), undertaken by the different authorities (communal, departmental, national), and by the potential casualties, in order to reduce any risk opportunity and to manage the flood consequences.

SCP has long and wide-ranging experience in France and abroad working on river-schemes and flood protection works :
 

• Siagne River (Provence) :
  Protection of people and property. Risk evaluation (2D modeling), measurement network, hydro-weather alerts, organization of emergency services ( resource and action plans).
• Verderet River at Eybens :
  Flood Protection Master Plan. Design of 3 storm basins. Design of the remote control system for 3 storm basins.
• Durance River :
  Study of the flood risk between Cadarache and Mallemort. 2D modeling of the 100-year flood (5,000m3/s).
• Gapeau River:
  feasibility of a flood alert system on the Gapeau upstream of Hyères.
• Stormwater basin of Oppede (84), Allauch (13), Gardanne (13), Vitrolles (13), etc...
